South Tamar Mission Community

Church Services for Sunday 28th September and Sunday 5th October

It’s Harvest Festival season!  We kick off with the 6.30pm Harvest Songs of Praise at St Mary’s, Sydenham Damerel.  Be there if you can – remember there’s no limit to the number of Harvest Festivals you can attend, and they are supporting a variety of good causes!  Richard Searight is leading that one.

Tomorrow morning Rev Canon Tim Thompson is leading 11am Holy Communion at St Constantine’s, Milton Abbot, and 4pm Holy Communion at St Andrew’s, Coryton, whilst I’m away on leave.

This coming week Canon Tim is leading the 10am Midweek Communion on Wednesday in the Priest Room, and then on Friday Coffee & Company are gathering again, at 10am in the Priest Room.

I’ll be back next weekend, when the 9.30 Communion at Marystowe on Sunday 5th  will be led by Canon Tim, and I’ve agreed to stand in to play the organ.  My playing isn’t as good as the electronic music we often have, but with a national shortage of organists (yes, really!) some of our parishes seldom have the option of live music.  I would be interested to hear from anyone who plays (it does not have to be a keyboard instrument) or sings and would be interested in developing that area of ministry in services on occasion.  I am happy to support and you won’t be left on your own!

Then, again on Sunday 5th, it’s Harvest Festival at St Peter’s, Lamerton, led by me, followed by a bring and share Harvest Supper.  This is a memorable event in the life of Lamerton, and not to be missed.

I probably won’t be able to send out a reminder email next week, so please do note next week’s services in your calendars.  I look forward to seeing you again soon!

With love in Christ,

Rev Gill
